That mystic Vietnam light is ridiculous.
For a week it was fun, but imagine waiting months on end for a blue sky day.
It never stopped being weird, the dichotomy between the grim reality of the pollution and the nuclear shades of pink and orange that you’ve only ever seen in photoshop.
Coupled with the fact that we were visiting during the off season, and the town was almost empty. Shopfront after shopfront, hotel after hotel idling waiting for the summer season.
But, every smog cloud has its silver lining after all, Cát Bà Island & Hạ Long Bay were phenomenal, even if I had to row my sister around for half a day.
